About the event:

The rock-punk band The Men was formed in 2008 in Brooklyn by Nick Chiericozzi a Mark Perro. Their first demo was a tape of 5 songs. After Chris Hansell joined the band in 2009, their first tour and some released demos and EPs (We Are the Men – which they recorded during one afternoon), they released their first album, Immaculada. In 2011 followed the second album, Leave Home (Python Patrol Studios), which received mostly positive reviews. The Men released their follow-up album Open Your heart in 2012. Considered to a be a more accessible album compared to Leave Home, the band incorporated surf rock, country music and pop structures into the album. Open Your Heart received critical acclaim, including a Best New Music designation from Pitchfork Media. The band performed at the 2012 South by Southwest music festival. The Men released their fourth full length album, New Moon in 2013. The album, which was recorded in Big Indian, New York, continued the down the path established by Open Your Heart, incorporating more classic and country rock influences and less noise rock elements. After that they released Campfire Songs EP. The EP was recorded around a campfire in Upstate New York during the band’s recording session for New Moon. On December 3, 2013, the band announced their fifth studio album, Tomorrow’s Hits. The album will be released March 4, 2014 and was recorded in guitarist Mark Perro’s bedroom.
