We’ve put together four reasons why not to miss Tonya Graves and her band on Thursday 4th.
1. We love her voice
Her gorgeous deep vocal is lovely to listen to. She is great in all styles of music, but she mainly focuses on blues, pop and R&B songs.
2. She does not perform with Monkey business anymore
After 16 years, Tonya recently left Czech famous band Monkey Business and started a solo career. Monkey Business has lots of concerts, but seeing Tonya live is more difficult. So do not miss a chance to enjoy her live show on May 4th!
3. She will play tracks from her two solo albums
Tonya has released two solo albums. The first one was the dazzling I’m The Only Me, the second one is Back To Blues. With the last one, Tonya returned to the roots of the music she had grown up to. She recorded covers of Ray Charles, Willie Dixon, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Dolly Parton and many others.
4. She is surrounded by first-class musicians
The acclaimed guitarist Lukáš Martínek was supervising the concept of the album Back To Blues. Many Czech top musicians were part of the recording crew, Grammy Awarded jazz organist and pianist Ondrej Pivec, who recorded several parts on Gregory Porter’s latest album, included. Tonya’s new band is formed by experienced musicians: Ondřej Sluka – drums, Martin Landa – bass, Pepa Flores – guitar and Jenda Pudlák – keyboards.
