1. He plays the bassguitar really well and what’s more, his voice is great
With the six-string (!) bassguitar he can play wonderful compositions and regular rhythmic instrument is changing to full-fledged solo instrument in his hands. And his velvet voice perfectly complements the atmosphere of the tracks.
2. Has released an excellent album only few weeks ago
Third studio record called Drunk, with collaborations made by many well know artists and co-produced by Flying Lotus, is highly acclaimed by the fans and media. Pitchfork magazine even named this album as „Best New Music“. You can really look forward to this show!
3. Played with Erykah Badu, as well as with Suicidal Tendencies
Thundercat’s genre range is breathtaking. He played bass with thrash-punk-hardcore hooligans Suicidal Tendencies, but his bass figures are also at the albums by Erykah Badu, Kamasi Washington or Keziah Jones and at the wide range of rappers’s records (such as Childish Gambino, Mac Miller, Vic Mensa, Ty Dolla Sing or Kendrick Lamar).
4. Has won Grammy
And with Kendrick Lamar he got a Grammy award for the best Rap / Sung Collaboration last year. He often plays the These Walls track live at his shows and we all wanna hear it.
5. Android Asteroid will open for Thudnercat
Android Asteroid is great Czech musical project. Guys are currently working on new songs for the fourth studio albums. Their show before Thundercat will be the only one in 2017. So if you want to hear them live this year, you have to come on Thursday.
