Android Asteroid will open for Thundercat on April 5th

Czech project Android Asteroid will open for Thundercat on Wendesday April 5th. Andoid Asteroid are currently working on new album and this show will be the only one this year!

American bassist, singer and duke of funk Thundercat released his third solo album Drunk on labels Brainfeeder / Ninja Tune and he will be performing live in Lucerna Music Bar on April 5. Thundercat is known for his work eg. with Kendrick Lamar, Suicidal Tendencies or Kamasi Washington and on this new record you can hear many other guests again. Drunk has also got very enthusiastic response in many reviews.

An album consists of 23 (mostly) short tracks and almost all of them are made in collaboration with Los Angeles‘ groove magician Flying Lotus. And there are some interesting guests on mike – Kendrick Lamar in Walk On By, Wiz Khalifa in Drink Dat or Pharrell Williams in The Turn Down. The very first single called Show You The Way was featured by Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald, the lead singer from legendary band The Doobie Brothers.

The whole album sounds very compactly and dreamily, but at the same time it has a very positive energy. Thundercat uses his bass guitar to invent really captivating compositions, that make the listener feeling almost weightless. Drunk album got excellent reviews across the world’s most important media and Pitchfork magazine even named this title as Best New Music.
