Also in April we’ve got a bunch of great shows for you. It’s clear you can’t be in Lucerna Music Bar every day, but some of the shows are really „must see“. Let’s check what we’ve chosen for you this month.
5. 4. Thundercat / US
A Grammy awarded master of bassguitar, who finds his inspiration in jazz, funk, hip hop, R&B and electronics, has released his brand new and highly acclaimed record Drunk only a few weeks ago. He collaborated on this album with great names of music, such as Flying Lotus, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa or Pharrell Williams. Thundercat has created a very positive record, which is a big pleasure to listen to. There’s no doubt that his groove will take you far away from your daily normal life and you will remember this show for a long time.
6. 4. Dope DOD / NL, support: Sodoma Gomora
On the next day, Lucerna Music Bar will be hit by Dutch hip hop hell’s demons Dope DOD. Their uncompromising rap and heavy dirty beats have a great fan base here, so you can expect sweating and boiling dance floor. They’ve got new mixtape Acid Trap from last year and a brand new album, which will be made with legendary Onyx, is on the way. Moreover, there will be a special unique moment at the show – Czech pioneers of horrorcore rap, Sodoma Gomora, have made a track called Terminator together with Dope DOD and this track will be performed live for the first time! 10. 4. Billy Barman / SK + Katarzia / SK
Slovakian alternative scene will be presented by the two brilliant names – Billy Barman and Katarzia. Billy Barman is very popular rock band and their new album was awarded as „Album of the year 2016“ few weeks ago. Katarzia is young engaging songwriter and singer and will be performing with a full band on April 10.
12. 4. Protoje & The Indiggnation / JAM, special guest: Nattali Rize / AUS
We love reggae in Lucerna Music Bar and on April 12 our circular stage will be hosting Protoje, who is one of the most popular names of Jamaican reggae and contemporary dubwise. BBC Radio 1Xtra ranked him into the „Hot for 2015“ chart two years ago and they really didn’t go wrong. His worldwide hit Who Knows, created together with Chronixx, has brought him lifelong fame. This year, he has been also nominated for the MOBO awards in Best Raggae Act category. And you can bet your own dreadlocks that this guy can handle his craft really brilliantly.
20.4. J.A.R.
And in the end, one Czech speciality. J.A.R. is a funk / groove / rap band, hitting stages since 90’s and still with a huge energy and power. Their brand new album called Eskalace dobra is extraordinary and you’ll love it. If you don’t know them, check them. If you know them, grab your ticket before it’s too late!
