Phil Rudd, the drummer of AC/DC, will come to the Czech Republic with his band to please his fans by long expected concerts. They had to cancel the last year’s tour due to their guitarist being unwell. Phil Rudd and the band will play in Lucerna Music Bar on 24th May. They have promised to play a 70 minute set full of great songs and they should also throw in some surprise as an apology for any inconvenience caused.
A tour called Back On The Beat features songs from their first album Head Job and new AC/DC songs, sound of which he has largely contributed to. “Last year, I was devastated by the loss of my long time friend and band mate Malcom Young of AC/DC, the time is merciless. I am grateful that I am still able to play, that our guitarist Geoff is well again and that we can finally go on the tour.” says a famous drummer who is one of the most respected men with sticks, being praised by many bands such as Metallica, Rammstein or Foo Fighters.
A band called Blue Rocket will be opening all of their shows on the tour. They’ve been around for twenty years and have played with dozens of Czech and international bands. The highest they regard sharing stage with the legendary Nazareth, Live Fire & Ken Hensley (ex Uriah Heep), Rednex or the concerts with Čechomor. In 2016 they toured with Kabát.
A Czech band Doctor Victor will appear as a special guest in the Prague show. This three piece rock band was the official support band of AC/DC in Prague, last year they recorded a solo album for the singer Dan McCafferty of Nazareth and this year they got into a narrow selection of the Eurosong awards.
